Yoga, Cooking and Nature

Jenn’s retreats are a way to connect the heart and the head. By granting ourselves the chance to get out of our daily routine and place, we can get out of our own way and open up to a new perspective. Being in a new setting with different foods, culture, weather, people around us, and new ways of moving the body…are ways into what and where we need to grow, learn, expand, and enjoy our lives. These retreats are for those flexible in spirit, and they are open to all bodies…for those who can go with the flow and honor the culture, as well as the moment we become immersed in.

Jenn Pici Falk

teaches/moves from her 17 years of practicing yoga and 11 years of teaching to fuse styles and try to bring to the group whatever is needed. Typically, classes embody both yang and yin qualities to provide a well-rounded experience and set the tone for the day. We will practice at least once a day and leave room for some Sicilian excursions and cooking classes. She has been teaching international retreats for the last 7+ years in such locations as Iceland, Nantucket, Mexico, the Caribbean, and the Azores. She has an affinity for islands as places to truly dive into heart immersion, and is looking forward to her second retreat at the Anna Tasca Lanza Cooking School.

Costs

Single Room: €3,000

Double Room: €5,400

Costs include accommodation at Case Vecchie or one of the nearby cottages, and indicated lessons, meals, wine and excursions.

 

Example Program

 

Sunday, June 16: Settling In

3:00 to 5:00 pm: Check in and settle into your accommodation.

6:00 pm: Welcome meet and greet and intro meditation session.

7:30 pm: Sicilian aperitivo and dinner at Case Vecchie.

 

Monday, June 17: Welcome to Sicily

8:30 am: A bountiful breakfast before a mid-morning yoga class. Spend some free time in the garden or by the pool.

1:00 pm: Leisurely lunch.

4:00 to 5:00 pm: Meditation session.

5:30 pm: Cooking lesson with seasonal ingredients followed by dinner.

 

Tuesday, June 18: Cheese Making

7:45 am: On the road to see local shepherd and cheese-maker perform his daily ritual of ricotta making.* A picnic breakfast is provided.
10:30 am: Return to Case Vecchie for a tour of the gardens.

12:00 pm: Cheese tasting at the table followed by lunch.

3:00 pm: Yoga in the garden.

5:30 pm: Cooking class followed by a delicious dinner.

 

Wednesday, June 19: Yoga, Wine and Cooking

8:30: Breakfast and mid-morning yoga and morning relax.

1:00 pm: Leisurely lunch.

4:00 pm: Wine tasting and tour of the cantina.

7:30 pm: Aperitivo and dinner outdoors.

 

Thursday, June 20: Ancient Agrigento Exploration

8:30 am: Breakfast and depart for the beautiful Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. A picnic lunch in the citrus groves of Kolymbetra and then the return trip home.

3:00 pm: Return home to rest in the afternoon.

4:00 to 6:00 pm: Slow flow session.

7:30 pm: Aperitivo followed by dinner.

 

Friday, June 21: Pizza party

8:30 am: Breakfast and a late morning yoga class followed by relax before lunch.

4:00 to 5:00 pm: Slow flow afternoon session.

5:45 pm: PIck up to local pizzeria for pizza making workshop.

 

Saturday, June 22: Goodbyes

Wake up early for a final practice or sleep in. Final breakfast and departure at 10 am.

 

*Airfare and transportation to and from Case Vecchie are not included in the price. Please request transportation arrangements at the time of booking if you would like us to book a car to and from the estate.

 

**Please note, due to the seasonal rhythm of life and agriculture in Sicily, planned activities and schedules may change at short notice. If this is the case, an equally engaging activity will be arranged.
